This might be old news, but Ubunt 24.0.X can still run X11 https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/how-to-switch-from-x11-to-wayland-on-live-ubu... CodeLight is no longer seems to lock up and a Steam/wine game I play seems to start without errors. I have not spent much time testing this.
