The current buyer is still interested.

Re: wireless, it's probably too old for wireless, unless you had a PCMCIA wireless (pre-cardbus).  It really only has toy value at this point.  E.g., it plays classic DOS games really well.  For your friend, I would watch woot.com for their netbook sales.  I got a new EEE PC for 170.00 a few months ago.

Hi Adam,

Have you had any takers. I am in need of a laptop for a woman who is bedridden and in a lot of pain. She is still sharp and is looking to be able to communicate with others online. Does this laptop have a wireless card or at least the capabilities for adding one?

Thanks,

Mike

Subject: [Wlug] Old laptop for sale - $5.00

Hi All,

I have an ancient laptop that I am done playing with.  Would anyone like it?

Gateway Solo 2000, model 9100

http://people.usd.edu/~djennewe/solo9100.html

P150 MMX
192MB of RAM
2 GB HD
Composite video in/out
Audio in/out
CDROM (needs some fiddling to keep shut)
3.5 inch floppy drive
2x USB 1.1
PS/2
~13.3 inch XGA screen (I think)
CHIPS 65554 graphics
PCMCIA slot for network etc

Some case damage to the hinge area, but it still opens and closes correctly.

Please reply off-list, if you are interested.  Thanks!

-Adam
