Hey Gang,

This is a reminder that we've got a meeting on Thursday!
Location: WPI Campus Center Rm 331.
Time: 7pm
Topic: Ceph.
Presenters: Logan Brown and Tim Keller

Ceph is a scalable storage system that provides object, block and file system services. You can grow it dynamically across multiple machines for fault tolerance and performance.
Logan and I have both been experimenting with Ceph. I've been playing with in my data center and Logan has gone full production at home with it as a NAS.  We'll be able to talk about it's design philosophy, expandability, fault tolerance and management.

As usual, snacks and refreshments will be provided and we'll head off to Tech Pizza to continue the conversation.

Thanks,
Tim.
