I bet this is the problem:
Sorry. Although I'm listed as a best-preference MX or A for that host, it isn't in my control/locals file, so I don't treat it as local. (#5.4.6)
It sounds like the DNS is set up correctly, but QMAIL doesn't know it's supposed to accept mail destined for that domain. Take a look through the Qmail config docs. I'm sure it tell you how to fix that. -Marc -----Original Message----- From: wlug-admin@mail.wlug.org [mailto:wlug-admin@mail.wlug.org] On Behalf Of Aramico Sent: Wednesday, January 15, 2003 1:37 PM To: wlug@mail.wlug.org Subject: [Wlug] My qmail server could send the email but it could not receive the email. The message that the sender got after they sent me an email look like this bellow : ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Hi. This is the qmail-send program at petrolumbrunei.com. I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out. <aramico@petroleumbrunei.com>: Sorry. Although I'm listed as a best-preference MX or A for that host, it isn't in my control/locals file, so I don't treat it as local.
