I have been using Thunderbird.  I did not use PGP.
I've found that it will lock up from time to time here also.  By lock up, I mean the operation (which I think is usually sending mail) just continuously runs where I've wound up closing down the program.  I can also say that last time this happened, I just let it sit and it eventually ran to completion.

I'll try to be more observant of any future quirks.

I am using Thinderbird (and have for years).  In the last year or
so, it tends to lockup my computer while it goes off to do
something that I cannot detect with a process monitor.

I have tried about everything including looking for a substitute.
Anybody have any suggestions?
