I'm anxious to hear anyone's feedback on this issue because I would like to break out of the nuke mold because every nuke site pretty much looks and feels the same.

I'm going to look into migrating to Zope. This site lists a bunch of CMS's, see the listings under Open Source: http://www.cmswatch.com/ContentManagement/Products/ I like what I saw so far on Zope, and there have been recent articles about it in Linux Journal (or Magazine...).
