Mike> At the last meeting we briefly discussed building a Linux Router Mike> from a single board computer. I was poking around the net and Mike> found the OpenWrt project. I'm curious if anyone has any Mike> experience with OpenWrt? I used to run LEAF/bering from the Linux Router project, but it seemed to die after a while and I didn't care for using an old PC with CDROM/floppy as my firewall anymore. I ended up moving to m0n0wall (http://m0n0.ch) on a WRAP board with three ethernet ports, http://www.pcengines.ch and I've been very happy. Don't bother getting a wireless card, just get a seperate Linksys WRT54G (or something like that) box and hang it off it's own network port. This setup works really nicely, and has really low power/noise, which is what I was after. m0n0wall is based on FreeBSD I admit, but that didn't stop me... :] John
