For any of you open-source types that dabble in hardware... So some interesting news is making the rounds today. It seems Intel is developing a competing standard to the tried-n-true open-standard called Hypertransport, which they never liked because they did not create it. Here's the story: http://www.penstarsys.com/#intel_ht Can anyone think of a reason why one should support this disruptive beast by purchasing PCs based on their chips? (Please excuse the partisan rant. I'm an AMD fanboy who hates all things Intel...and news like this is exactly why.) -- Gary
