I know I have seen several posts in the past, but I need a little information on setting up my cable modem through Charter.

 

A little background information;

 

Red Hat 7.1 installed.

 

I have two nics installed, one static (192.168.1.1 internal scheme), one DHCP (connected to the cable modem, the cable modem when installed by Charter was assigned 192.168.100.1).

 

On boot up eth1 fails (eth1 is fine on boot up). I know I am probably missing some configuration somewhere. I know both nic's are working fine. After the first failed boot up (on eth1) I switched the cards, and the static nic was fine.

 

Any ideas?
