It was certainly interesting to see this! And it really shows how having a graphics card helps, but if you blow out the size that can fit in the graphic card's memory, it slows way down again.

Ah.. it's a java game with graphics. I'll probably pass for now. I'm too much of a nethack/crawl/moria type of gamer. :-) Though I have to admit I've spent some time playing 'naev' which sorta reminds me of the classic 'elite' but without the 3-d graphics. https://github.com/naev/naev Not amazingly fast development, but it's a fun thing to play with.
